Kaushik Katari

Kaushik Katari
Kaushik started Forecast Horizon to solve a complex analytical problem for a Fortune 500 retailer, without having any of the resources of a typical enterprise software vendor. The constraints defined the DNA of Forecast Horizon, where he is always looking for better ways to crunch large data-sets and deliver value to retailers with affordable, nimble solutions. While Kaushik's background has been in the enterprise software space (he played key roles in the early days of ProfitLogic and SignalDemand), most of the innovations that he has adopted have come from the consumer internet space. Giants like Google and Amazon are forever pushing the boundaries of computing, and Kaushik wants to bring the same efficiency into the enterprise space: through the judicious use of open-source components, cloud-computing, and agile development. Kaushik holds a PhD in Geophysics from Harvard University.
